Hat #3 – Cassey Hat

The Cassey hat is a "cloche style hat, dusty purple fleece with a wide black satin ribbon and a turned up brim. The detail on the hat is an Art Deco style with gray and purple rays of fleece coming out from the vintage button. Dots of black fleece made a spotted line radiating from the center.

I shot the hat in a blooming rosemary bush teaming with bees feeding off the blossoms, rich and fragrant, if only I could share the scent. Colors of the pictures have varied from a dusty purple to a periwinkle according to the shifting light. The top shot and detail are closest.

Arrived in Phoenix at 9am and was watching the kids hitting some golf balls by noon while working on my hat of the day.
