Hat #16 - Peyton Hat

The Peyton hat is a wave blue and black cloche with a vintage button. I started with this cool giant button and created this Native American inspired band around the crown.

The detail on the Peyton hat began with a machine stitched line and stitched zigzags then I hand stitched fleece and satin ribbon as an accent.

I had high hopes of finally being able to play around on my new cross country skis until I walked outside and the big melt down was well under way. Time to clean the studio and prepare to begin production in earnest. Was thinking of this cool Native American skirt that I saw at the new Music Museum in Phoenix when I was working on this hat band.
